Primeren je za srednje zahtevna gradbena dela, urejanje okolice, drenaže in izkope, hkrati pa ostaja dovolj kompakten za delo v ozkih prostorih. Zanesljiv Kubota 3-valjni motor zagotavlja optimalno razmerje med močjo in porabo, pri čemer stroj ostaja brez kompleksne elektronike.
K17 je zelo priljubljen v kmetijstvu, saj omogoča sajenje dreves, planiranje terena, čiščenje vodnih jarkov in uporabo priključkov, kot so mulčarji, svedri in kladiva. Hidravlični elektro joystick omogoča natančno upravljanje, razširitvene gosenice pa poskrbijo za stabilnost na razgibanem terenu. Hitrost pomika do 4 km/h omogoča učinkovito premikanje po delovišču.
