The CENTAMAX 1600 coupling element Type SB is a torsionally flexible coupling element developed by CENTA Germany in cooperation with leading engine and generator manufacturers. Each driveline is carefully engineered through TVA (Torsional Vibration Analysis), and the correct coupling type and Shore hardness are selected to ensure resonance-free operation, vibration damping, and long service life.
The SB version is designed as a single-bearing supported coupling, making it ideal for generator sets, marine auxiliaries, and heavy-duty industrial drives. Its elastic properties reduce harmful torsional vibrations while maintaining safe torque transfer under varying load conditions.
