I've been around plenty of wheel loaders and the 950 stands up pretty well. The weight on this thing gives it good pushing power. You can handle some heavy material and not worry about tipping. Cabin improvements are not bad, noise level is lower than what we used to have. That new ride control system, yeah, helps on uneven stuff but it’s not perfect, still feels rough bouncing at speed. Auto shutdown for the engine is handy if you forget sometimes. Just watch out for annoying beeps from the dash when it wants your attention, gets on your nerves a bit. Overall, not a lot to complain about but don't expect perfection everywhere.

Having recently used the Caterpillar 950G for snow removal tasks, I can say this loader holds up well, considering its age. Operating the controls felt intuitive, and the cab provides sufficient comfort for longer shifts. However, the rust in certain areas could be concerning for future maintenance needs, and the slow tire air loss required periodic attention. Performance-wise, it accomplishes the task efficiently, particularly with the push box setup.

Been running the Cat 950 for the last few months mostly on site jobs. The bucket capacity really helps, less time wasted since I don’t have to reload as often. The new cab features are honestly pretty good, adjustable seat and decent suspension, makes the long shifts a bit easier. I like the joystick steering too, makes it easier on your arms. The Product Link thing is cool in theory but half the time I’m not even looking at that info, I just want no problems. Fuel efficiency seems okay, I still end up topping up after long days tho. Maintenance costs are lower but when something goes wrong, you still gotta wait for some service or part and that slows you down. Solid machine overall but there’s room for updates on the tech side for sure.
